Time Travel
Wow, so um, sorry to anybody whose been checking back since my last post, I’ve obviously been remiss! Not that it’s any sort of valid excuse but once I redeployed from Afghanistan things just didn’t slow down like they were supposed to, but I guess that’s the military life. Anyway, the return trip was uneventful, and after a couple of days in transit I was finally reunited with my family here on Okinawa in mid September. Flash forward 10 months (time travel, get it?) and here I am. The intervening months have been filled with all manner of exercises, inspections and various other missions that have, combined with enjoying my family, completely distracted me from pretty much everything outside this little corner of the world. So, once again, apologies to those who have been waiting for me to post for the last ten months, I’ll try and keep that from happening again.

So… are you guys still in Okinawa? We have your Christmas gift… from 2005 to get to you. Sounded like a move was coming, so we waited to hear from you.

Hey you! Yes we are, we’ll be returning Stateside in September. Our new assignment is to Hill AFB in Utah, so we’ve got that going for us (it was either Hill; Edwards AFB, CA (middle of no where); or Kirtland AFB, NM (gangs, lots of gangs). Once we get there I’ll be sure to get you guys our mailing address, until then, how is everybody?

Everyone’s doing fantabulistic! Feel free to e-mail or check Buckley or my site for occasional updates. Our Dad lives just outside Kirkland. I’ve been to Edwards… yep and haven’t heard about Utah, but that’s nice country out there. Please let us know.

Will do. We’re looking at getting a house, so I’ll be sure to send out some pics when we do. I’ll be sure to do some recon and let you know what the place is like.

Yeah…well, it was either there, Edwards or Kirtland (Albaquerque, gosh I hope I spelled that right). I’ve been to both Hill and Kirtland before and Hill is definitely the better of the two. As for Edwards, I really didn’t feel like living in the middle of the California desert, so there you go. Besides, at Hill I get to blow up 38,000lbs ICBM motors, how cool is that?
